Rob "Deleted emails" O'Brian wants to take his cronyism to Jeff City
Rob O'Brian wants to represent Joplin in Jefferson City and is hoping to defeat incumbent Bill White in the republican primary for the 32nd Missouri Senate District. O'Brian was instrumental in bringing the public-private partnership between the City of Joplin and defunct fugitive "Master Developer" Wallace Bajjali. O'Brian, who paid himself in excess of $175,000 annually, did Joplin a solid when he literally crafted the "master developer" scorecard based on metrics that Wallace Bajjali wanted.
In the state auditor report, O'Brian could not furnish the e-mail from Wallace Bajjali with a sample RFP because he "deleted the e-mail."
"In sworn testimony Chamber of Commerce President O'Brian indicated Wallace suggested the "master developer concept" for redevelopment of the city, and a Wallace Bajjali employee emailed him a template of a RFP at Wallace's request. However, Chamber of Commerce President O'Brian indicated he deleted the email."
Wallace Bajjali, as it turns out, was a scam outfit used to bleed Joplin of millions and waste precious redevelopment time.
Former mayer Michael "lost my notes" Seibert was unavailable for comment.
